We are in this business of investment management because it is our life’s passion to find the stocks that will outperform their peers, and the expectations of the market. It’s hard work, it’s often stressful, but for us there is nothing more fun and exciting than ”winning” at investing. Every day is a new market, every news cycle brings new factors into play.
But what keeps us going over the very long term is the solemn purpose behind this endeavor: to create more wealth for people like you, who have worked hard throughout your lifetime to earn money, save money, and wisely take care of money. But we know that you know money is never the point, and never the end goal. Money is just the means, one way, to bring happiness, safety, opportunity, to people. At Two Point Capital, the "game" would have lost its allure decades ago, if not for the people we serve. You are why we do what we do.
From the very beginning of Two Point Capital, we understood the interconnectedness of all people. None of us survive on one's own, and certainly all of us need other people to thrive. It’s why we’ve always been involved in the greater community, looking for ways that we can contribute.
Our focus is anti-poverty, anti-racism, pro-educational reform, protecting the environment, and fostering more unified, conversant communities. We pay particular attention to efforts that help children, and involve the arts as a way to bring people together.
This year, for instance, we are hosting our Chard Fest 25, every-so-often series of events where we distribute chard seeds and recipes to anyone and everyone, but particularly those in underserved communities with food insecurity issues. We are Champion Sponsors for this year's Center for Teen Empowerment Annual Community Luncheon, the Event Sponsor for the Full Circle Home Honor Shoot in support of active and wounded military members, and a sponsor of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's 100th Year Gala Celebration. If you listen to WXXI or WRUR or watch movies at The LIttle Theatre, you know we are supporters of public radio and great theater. We continue to be supportive of the amazing Avenue Blackbox Theatre and its transformational impact on all of Northeast Rochester, especially our youth.
We are living in challenging times. Steadfastness is important. Giving more is important. We are doing our part, and challenging ourselves to do more. We know that you do the same, and we are inspired and grateful.
